Meeting Incentive Experts (MIE) is a full-service Destination Management Company (DMC), providing Expert services to our customers since 2003. What makes MIE different from our competitors is our attention to detail during the planning and execution of a program, and our offices in the USA and Mexico. Adam Lawhorne, CEO, developed MIE with a vision of guiding customers in everything from A to Z when planning a meeting or incentive program in Mexico. The first MIE Mexico office opened in Los Cabos, with Cancun and Puerto Vallarta soon following after great success. With the client base Mr. Lawhorne had built from his previous CEO tenor at a Corporate Travel Management company in Chicago, he used his techniques to acquire new clients looking for planning knowledge on the DMC side as his advantage.
Adam recollects that one of the best decisions in MIE’s twenty years was to hire the best of the tourism hospitality industry, training the team with the “Planner” mentality to manage each office as an ambassador to our clients the MIE way. Adam’s focus was to design a unique, boutique DMC with customized services for all types of programs. In 2011, Adam introduced Amanda Nemeth as his Wife and Partner, having her assume the position as President of MIE, responsible for business development and the operation of our Mexico teams. Amanda’s love for Mexican hospitality dates back to the late 1990s in Cancun where she lived full time for 14+ years, acquiring proficiency in both Hotel and DMC sales and operations.
Meeting Incentive Experts is a member of MPI, SITE and is a Hospitality Partner with FICP. Additionally, the MIE team hold designations such as CITE, CITP, CIS and CMP, further supporting our commitment to excellence in hospitality.
