ArtWalk Puerto Vallarta returns

Over the years, Puerto Vallarta has become known as a vibrant art center, a place where artists have traveled for inspiration over the last century. Helping to celebrate and share the art scene is Puerto Vallarta’s annual ArtWalk. ArtWalk Puerto Vallarta is a weekly free event held each Wednesday from October 25, 2017 – May 30, 2018 between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Participating art galleries extend their hours each week for self-guided tours offering a chance for locals and tourists to experience works by important national and international artists. Remarkable paintings, exceptional sculptures, fine ceramics and jewelry are offered.

The whales are coming to Vallarta!

Each winter from early December to the end of March, Humpback whales migrate from the arctic to breed and rear their young in the sheltered coasts of Banderas Bay. You can enjoy whale watching excursions while taking in the panoramic view of the Pacific as you venture along the breeding grounds to watch for these mesmerizing creatures.

T4 in Cancun Airport is now open

The Cancun International Airport has inaugurated a new terminal projected to make it Mexico’s second busiest, with an estimated 31 million passengers per year. A government statement says the 18-gate Terminal 4 increases annual capacity by about 9 million passengers and was built for a little over $177 million USD. The building covers more than 67,000 square meters (700,000 square feet) and expands the airport’s footprint by about 37 percent. President Enrique Pena Nieto facilitated the inaugural ceremony for Terminal 4 at the Cancun International airport.
