Norman, Jack Nicklaus, Fazio to Tiger Woods, many of the big names in golf have designed courses on this unique landscape becoming of course celebrities’ favorite golf destination. Low handicappers will find them challenging and will appreciate the genius and skill that went into their designs, while less experienced players will be rewarded with a good day’s combat. The magnificent terrain is comparable to that found in Arizona and California desert golf courses. What sets Los Cabos apart is the presence of the Sea of Cortez, a sparkling water-wonderland of incredible hues reaching as far south as the eye can see.
Golfers in Los Cabos have an added bonus…eleven months of rain-free vacation play.
THE COVE – OCEAN COURSE
A world-renowned Jack Nicklaus Signature design stretching for more than a mile along a coastline of craggy rock outcroppings and sun-washed shores. This championship layout is praised by Nicklaus himself for having the “three finest finishing holes in all of golf.” The 5th and signature 17th holes are currently ranked among “The 500 Best Holes in the World” according to Golf Magazine (January 2000).
THE COVE – DESERT COURSE
This masterful Tom Weiskopf design is an inland layout with 180-degree views of the sea from nearly every hole. The course varies in length from 5,300 to 7,100 yards, with five sets of tees making it comfortable for all levels of play. The design takes advantage of natural river washes, subtle changes in elevation and dramatic bunkering.
RANCHO SAN LUCAS GOLF COURSE
Rancho San Lucas, the 18 hole golf course on the Baja Pacific is the only course designed by Greg Norman in Los Cabos. Hugs huge windswept dunes along the beach, climbs through thick cactus forest and faces the Pacific with sweeping ocean views from every hole.
PALMILLA GOLF COURSE
Features a 27-hole golf course designed by legend Jack Nicklaus that provides stunning ocean views from every hole. Palmilla Golf Club features the first Nicklaus designed course in Latin America that originally opened in 1992 with three unique nines the Arroyo, Mountain and Ocean. The Mountain/Ocean provides 18-holes that stretches 7,036 yards at par 72.
RANCHO SAN LUCAS GOLF CLUB
As planned, Puerto Los Cabos is pleased to announce that our opening 18 holes will be a composite design consisting of 9 holes from the Jack Nicklaus design and 9 holes from the Greg Norman design. This unique opportunity will allow our guests to experience the difference in design philosophies and enjoy a “sneak-peek” of the future work to come. Never before has work from these great designers been used to create 18 holes. The initial offering will be our Composite Course, which consists of 9 holes from the Mission Course, designed by Greg Norman, and 9 holes from the Marina Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus.
CLUB CAMPESTRE SAN JOSE GOLF
Club Campestre San Jose opened its doors in June 2007. With its spectacular views to the Sea of Cortez, canyons and mountains, Club Campestre San José invites you to enjoy the incredible panoramic views, dramatic elevation changes, and our undulating championship greens. The incomparable shape of the course is second to none to any golf course in the world. CABO REAL GOLF COURSE
Designed by: Robert Trent Jones II, Its three spectacular ocean front holes put Cabo Real on the golf world map in 1996 when whales put on a spectacular show breaching just yards offshore during the Senior Slam golf tournament. Long considered the favorite of many pros, the Cabo Real course is a must during any visit.
